Our edutainment continuum rates the tone of the workshop with (1) being high in educating and (10) being high in entertaining.

 

Keynotes

Our blend of education and entertainment helps affirm faculty for all the challenges they face while inspiring them toward greatness. Your faculty will be laughing and learning the entire time, appreciative of the enthusiastic messages. Written by a clinical psychologist and educator turned professional comedian, these keynotes are sure to rock!

 

Harnessing Humor for Teachers

Edutainment Continuum: (5)

Summary: In this fun and informative workshop, former 4th grade teacher, professional stand up comedian and television writer Chip Chantry shares concepts and exercises, so educators can harness the power of humor, not just to entertain and engage students, but to teach with more clarity and impact. 

Logistics: This workshop is ideal for all sized groups, recommended for 90-120 minutes.

M.U.R.D.E.R Mystery Workshop

Edutainment Continuum (9)

Summary: A faculty member’s enthusiasm for work has been ‘killed’. It’s up to the group to solve the crime through this interactive event with professional actors. High audience participation and teamwork is emphasized in this fun experience promoting the fundamentals of resilience.

Logistics: This workshop is ideal for all sized groups, recommended for 90-120 minutes.

Resilience Jeopardy

Entertainment Continuum: (4)

Summary: Resilience is no longer an ambiguous concept, overused to describe the complex process of healing or preventing harm. We first introduce the nine elements of resilience with the measurable scoring system that allows faculty to track their progress over the course of the year. Each group has stations to put this learning into practice. The focal point of this workshop is a fun Jeopardy style team competition with buzzers and a virtual jeopardy board with actual prizes.

Logistics: This workshop is ideal for smaller to medium- sized groups, recommended for 90-120 minutes. Fun activities can be added to turn this workshop into a half or full day event.

Psychological Scavenger Hunt

Entertainment Continuum: (6)

Summary: Bring your faculty together through a funny competition where they compete for real prizes while deepening their appreciation for resilience. Working in small groups, they search for a special list of treasures, explore creative discoveries, and even perform for the whole community. Our RA’s will help judge and assign points to determine the winning group with bragging rights for the whole year.

Logistics: This workshop is ideal for small to medium- sized groups, recommended for 90-120 minutes.

Resilience Retreat

Entertainment Continuum (4)

Summary: Resilience is the most important predictor of ‘dis-ease’ and preventer of distress. We define the nine elements of resilience using a tool to plan for better health.

Logistics: This workshop is ideal for longer time windows, early in the school year, and for larger groups. A half or full day is recommended.
