Executive Coaching

Education has only recently recovered from one major crisis, now headed into another. Financial cuts require districts to become smarter about how to weather this storm. The cumulative toll of these burdens is undermining the stability of K-12 nationwide and must be addressed. Without funding to support the well-being of your entire district, executive coaching represents an economically scalable and sustainable mode of support.

Is my leadership team a good candidate for executive coaching?

  • Does my team seem chronically stressed by the expectations of the community?
  • Does my team operate in crisis mode too much of the time?
  • Does my team feel faculty pressure to deal with student discipline?
  • Does my faculty need stress relief, but lack the funds to scale a program?
  • Am I concerned about the energy, investment, or fortitude of my leaders?

What is Executive Coaching (EC)?

This active learning medium combines personal growth with professional development, supporting the needs of leaders and the organization. Leaders learn how to grow their resilience while developing new skills to help them navigate the high demands of managing people and systems. Individual sessions with a licensed psychologist help leaders identify areas of strength and limitations while elevating job satisfaction.

What Are the Goals of Executive Coaching?

Executive Coaching is a practical modality supporting leaders both personally and professionally while addressing the district’s strategic goals. Primary goals include program innovation, crisis reduction, time management, skills to improve conflict resolution, and inspiring faculty. Secondary goals include stress inoculation, resilience building, and improving mental health. This work will be used to support faculty throughout the district.

What is Executive Group Coaching?

While leaders work on individual goals, supplemental support through group work is critical. More complex issues such as school violence, absenteeism, faculty turnover and systemic burnout are best addressed as a team.  Systemic goals are generally derived from a school district’s strategic plan. Through humor, creativity, and strategic thinking, groups grow more resilient.
